The Challenge
For Welcome Week 2025, the University of Staffordshire wanted to create an engaging and memorable experience that would welcome new students, encourage interaction, and create a lasting first impression.
The activation needed to handle a high volume of participants while offering something fun, creative, and personalised that students could keep.
Our Solution
We delivered a high-capacity photopod experience combined with live tote bag printing, designed to maximise engagement and create personalised takeaways for students.
The setup allowed students to capture their photo and then fully customise their design before it was printed onto a tote bag in real time.
The Experience
Students stepped into the photopod where their photo was captured using professional lighting and camera equipment.
They then moved to our interactive touchscreen design stations, where they could personalise their image by:
• Adding digital props and graphics
• Writing custom text and messages
• Adjusting their layout and design
Once complete, their design was sent مباشرة to print and produced as a personalised tote bag on site.
The Result
The activation ran over two days and proved extremely popular with students.
Key results included:
• Over 800 personalised tote bags printed live on site
• High engagement and continuous queues throughout the event
• Strong interaction with the university brand
• A memorable and practical takeaway for students
The experience created a fun and social atmosphere, giving students something unique to keep while helping the university deliver an exciting and welcoming start to the academic year.
