The Challenge
Tripadvisor wanted to promote Abu Dhabi as a travel destination to shoppers visiting one of Mumbai’s busiest retail destinations. The activation needed to attract attention in a high-traffic environment while giving visitors a fun and interactive way to discover famous locations in Abu Dhabi.
Our Solution
We installed a large white experiential pod placed in the centre of the shopping space to capture attention and invite visitors inside.
Inside the pod, guests were welcomed into a green screen photobooth experience that transported them virtually to some of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic destinations.
The green screen backgrounds featured well-known landmarks including:
• Louvre Abu Dhabi
• Liwa Oasis
• Other scenic travel locations across Abu Dhabi
The Experience
Visitors entered the white pod and stepped in front of the green screen where they could choose their favourite Abu Dhabi destination.
The photobooth instantly placed them into the selected location, creating the illusion that they were visiting the destination themselves.
Each participant received a printed photo mounted on a premium picture card, turning the experience into a memorable souvenir they could take home.
The Impact
The activation ran for three days and attracted a large number of visitors from the busy shopping centre. The eye-catching white pod and immersive green screen experience encouraged shoppers to stop, participate, and learn more about Abu Dhabi as a travel destination.
The printed photo mounts also allowed guests to take away a physical reminder of the experience, helping extend the campaign beyond the event itself.
